NICE TO MEET YOU!

"At Eagle PassVeterinary Diagnostic Hospital, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality

of veterinary care to the cats and dogs on the Border.”

Our culture is one of respect, kindness, and passion. We appreciate the trust our clients have placed in us.  We understand that our client’s pets are family, and we treat them with the dignity they deserve.  Eagle Pass Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital is a pioneer in bringing advanced diagnostics and therapy to the town of Eagle Pass. We are a locally-owned vet hospital with the equipment and facilities of a specialty hospital. Routine wellness and preventative medicine are a large part of our practice.  However, it is the ability to diagnose and treat the complex conditions and diseases that sets Eagle Pass Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital apart.

We are proud to be a part of the Eagle Pass community, and we look forward to meeting you and caring for your pets. We invite you to stop by for a tour of our new state of the art facility.

Dr. Jennifer Dorsey

“The need for veterinary care on the border is HUGE, and I want to be the one to provide it.”

As an Eagle Pass native, Dr. Jenny Dorsey is excited to be back in her hometown. Dr. Dorsey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in psychology from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2008. She earned her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2012. She completed a rotating internship at South Texas Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio and a surgical internship at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Austin. Dr. Dorsey has a special interest in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Dorsey has been an instructor at SWTJC for the Veterinary Assistant certification program and is an adjunct professor with Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.  As an adjunct professor with TTU, she enjoys the opportunity to teach the next generation of veterinarians through real world applications.

Dr. Dorsey was voted the 2018 Woman of the Year by EP Monthly magazine.

When Dr. Dorsey isn’t practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys CrossFit and traveling with her husband, Terry.  If you can’t find her at the hospital, she is at the baseball field with their three boys, Trace, Paxton and Knox.

Dr. Maryana Orduña

A proud native of Laredo, TX, Dr. Orduña joins us as a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has a lifelong love for animals and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Her passion for veterinary medicine began early, growing up around horses and caring for injured animals in her community. Those experiences sparked a deep interest in animal health and a desire to serve both pets and the people who love them. Dr. Orduña’s professional interests include small animal surgery, mixed animal medicine, preventive care, and ophthalmology. She’s also passionate about educating pet owners and empowering them to take an active role in their animals’ health.

At EVDH, Dr. Orduña is eager to work with a collaborative team and take advantage of the hospital’s advanced diagnostic tools to provide excellent care to both large and small animals. She looks forward to building relationships within the Eagle Pass community and expanding her skills—especially in large animal care and specialty medicine.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Orduña spending time with her family and pets, horseback riding, or reading a good thriller. Her favorite species to work with are cats and horses.

Dr. Orlando Vizcarra

His professional interests include general medicine, internal medicine, and surgery, and he is especially eager to continue expanding his skills in both large animal care and advanced procedures. Dr. Vizcarra values the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment at EVDH, where access to advanced diagnostics and mentorship—especially from Dr. Dorsey—has helped him feel right at home.
